Hatha yoga

As a bodyworker immersed in the study of Hatha Yoga, I bring the philosophies of mindfulness and breath awareness from the mat to my massage table. Just as in holding asanas, where we seek stillness and breath amidst discomfort, my massage practice aims to cultivate a similar sense of presence and ease, even in moments of tension or pain. Drawing from the principles of alignment, breath, and mindful awareness, I guide clients through their massage experience, encouraging them to connect with their bodies on a deeper level and find relaxation in the midst of any sensations that arise. As well as easing pregnancy-related aches or aiding in postpartum recovery, my massage treatments prioritise the well-being of both mother and baby. Zen Shiatsu

Zen Shiatsu, deeply rooted in traditional Chinese medicine and Zen Buddhism, is an artful Japanese bodywork therapy that focuses on the intricate network of meridians — energy pathways — within the body. By applying gentle pressure to specific points along these meridians, aiming tot restore balance and vitality to the organs they're connected to. This holistic approach not only addresses physical tension but also acknowledges the link between meridians and emotions, offering a profound opportunity for emotional release and inner harmony. Through deep holding pressure, Zen Shiatsu enhances the flow of Qi, the body's vital energy.

Lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic drainage involves gentle, rhythmic movements to push the lymph fluid towards lymph nodes. This technique can help to reduce swelling, improve circulation, and enhance the immune system's function. Lymphatic drainage promotes deep relaxation, which can help to calm the nervous system and stimulate the body's natural healing processes.

Visceral manipulation

Using gentle manual pressure and movement to assess and improve the function of the organs and their surrounding tissues, including their connections to the nervous system and vascular system. The aim is to identify and release any restrictions or tension patterns that may be contributing to pain, discomfort or dysfunction.
